PSA Services and Committees
PSA Newsletter and Bulletin Board
The PSA Newsletter is distributed monthly. The PSA bulletin board is located across from the school's library entrance. It is updated monthly providing details for up coming PSA sponsored events and volunteer requests.
Special Event Committees
Events are planned throughout the school year so that students may bring their families together at fun social functions. These events are a good way for parents to meet parents and for the children to spend time with their classmates in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
These committees support the many functions planned by the school throughout the year. Some committees give new students and their families information, support and guidance as they navigate the new school year, while others thank the school's faculty for the effort they expend in educating our children. The foundation of each committee is based upon a parent's dedication to volunteer and ensure a positive educational experience not only for their child, but the St. Pius X student body.
Room Representatives
This is our most successful way to assist the faculty and students throughout the school year. The responsibilities vary slightly depending on the grade. At the beginning of each school year a meeting is held for all interested parents.
Social Committee
These parent volunteers are responsible for coordinating refreshments and supplies for a number of events throughout the school year. It begins at the Ice Cream Social and continues throughout the school year to the Spring Open House.
Box Tops for Education
Box tops are collected year round. Look for information sent home with your child.
Entertainment Books
Each year student's families receive a book to review and a letter explaining the goals for this fund-raiser. Year after year, the students benefit greatly from this fund-raiser because profits are returned directly back to the school for the school's use. These books may be purchased through the New Year.
School Banking
This PSA sponsored student service teaches children the importance of saving money. There is a high interest rate and prizes are awarded when an account obtains a certain balance giving further incentive for continued savings. Banking is held on Wednesday mornings.
